'MONTE DAS ESCANXINAS' - Unique opportunity to install in ALGARVE a restaurant at the MICHELIN GUIDE level
The space
'Monte das Escanxinas' is an unique Portuguese century-old estate, holding a prestigious 19th century Manor House of 350 m2 and an outbuilding/lodge house set on a global plot of 23 000 m2 of area.
The property is located in the so-called Algarves 'Golden Triangle', on the outskirts of Almansil, county of Loulé, near the Ria Formosas Natural Park and the golf resorts of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago, being a short distance from the best beaches of the Algarve central coast and only 20 minutes from Faro International Airport.
The Space Vocation
The 19th century Manor House set on 'Monte das Escanxinas' is specially suited to be used as a reference High Quality Restaurant and additionally, for an innovative cuisine, another Gourmet Restaurant with a wine cellar for tastings and purchases.
The Manor House also can be used simultaneously for a sophisticated Tea House, suitable for business breakfast or lunch meetings, an Art Gallery for Painting exhibition, a Gourmet Shop for tasting and purchasing the best wines, cheeses and traditional high quality products, and other selected activities.
The Manor House may also serve as an Exclusive Private Members Club, creating a unique meeting place in Algarve, and a forum for business and cultural exchange, suitable for foreign tourists.
The Outbuilding/lodge house can be used for residential or commercial purposes, supporting the Manor House.
The Idea
The High Quality Restaurant to install in the Manor House if it is run by a prestigious and innovative Chef can be honored in short time by Michelin guide, becoming a reference in this touristic famous area.
The Gourmet Restaurant of at least 300m2 with a wine cellar for tastings and purchases, can be designed and built in front of the Mediterranean Garden, near the Entrance Courtyard and close by to the Old Outdoor Threshing Floor, where it will be possible to install a supporting esplanade of 300 m2.
In order to have an 'enriched dialogue between classic and modern architecture' the design of this second restaurant must be pavillon type with a hip roof, steel and wood structures, solid wood panelling and cladding and large glazed windows.
